About Game Modes

After many mails asking about the removal of Game Modes, I have to write this here to explain why this has be done.

The problem is the time, to fetch all the game modes the bots spends so much time to finish and it’s impossible to have the rankings ready in the morning.

This is a temporary measure, I’m working to speed up the bot with game modes and it will be enabled again when this issue will be fixed.

And now, I’m asking your collaboration again, if you have a web server (rent server or at home) and you want to help the community, just write me an email and I will contact you: admin@combatarms-rank.com

Big update

Hi again!

I’m here to announce a new big update in the page, this was going to be released the 1st of January but I didn’t have time to test it and I don’t like to publish things that are not finished. Now it’s finished and fully tested (not the search function, i’m still working with it), so it’s ready to release it.

This new update is probably the most important update in this page, a lot of people asked about this and it wasn’t released before because I didn’t know what country should I put to a clan, now that’s solved taking the country with most players of the clan in it.
And the same with the rankings, it’s not only a clan ranking, it also takes the average of the amounth of stats of the players in the clan, for example, the “player exp” is the average of experience of the players in the clan.

To navigate in this new rankings it’s easy, just add “clan” to the site url or press the button in the menu, you can navigate through alltime, daily, weekly and monthly as you can do in players rankings, and the categories are almost the same, gamemodes are not available.

And nothing more, enjoy this new rankings and don’t forget to notify us if you discover any bug or you have any suggestion.

Hi, as I said in the forum, I’m doing what someone does, it’s legal and I can’t be punished for it.

There is 1 universal right called “Freedom of Speech”, and I link to the wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech

If there is someone talking about other, he can do unless he attacks the other person. I have checked sheza’s posts and I haven’t seen any type of attack, so he can’t be banned for something that he hasn’t done. It’s the same that if you don’t kill anyone, you can’t go to prison.

But if a person use his power to get over another one without any oportunity of defend himself… that is an abuse, and if we check Nexon’s rules, we see that abuse can be punished.

So, Sheza is not the one that has to be punished

Minor update

After Nexon’s update, we have two new countries in Europe, Spider and Scorpion (when I went to school there weren’t these new countries) so the site has been updated to include the players that had changed his flag to one of these.

All those players that live in Spider or Scorpion are now in a “country” called ‘Unknown Country’ and they will appear in the Europe rankings with the flag .

New update!

Since today a new feature is active in the page of rankings, it’s a history where you can see all the rankings and the stats of every player since the last 7 days. This is still a beta feature so it has some limitations:

- History only available in “All time” mode, in the next days “Daily” will be active too.

- History is not available to the filter option, neither to europe rankings.

- The amount of data that has to be handled is too big so there could be some delay times the first time a ranking is visited.

To select the past days is as simple as clicking in the date and select the day you want to see:

Server Change

Well after 1 year with the same server, now the site is going to be moved to a better one!.

This moving will be conducted in the next 3 days and we apologize if you can’t see updated stats. With this change we will try to get a higher performance in the bot and the speed of the page.

The new server:

- CPU i7 920 2.93ghz

- 1256mb RAM

- 40gb HD

Yes, it’s a very good server ^^

Don’t let ca-ranks die

Well I don’t really want this but I have to do…

After more than 1 year giving you updated stats better than nexon’s stats, the site is not in the best moment, the visitors have increased so much but the ads don’t give me what I need to pay the server. Lately the load of the server generating ranks and the bandwidth needed to do this and show the page is not enough and the company has said that the server has to be upgraded. The problem of this is the money, I can’t pay the server alone and that’s because I’m asking for your support donating to keep this up for a long time.

The losses are many: rankings page, banned and headshots list, report generator and CW helper from sledge and many future tools that have been left unfinished, or have yet to be started. As you can see, some tools very usefull can be lost if you don’t help us….

As I said at the start of the post, I don’t want to do this but I have too, without donations (or using more the ads) this page will be closed… I’m the first who wants this, this has been always my little (big) project, even I stopped studying to upgrade the bot, without this I think CA wouldn’t be the same.

Thank’s to all of those who are helping and helped me with this, I will never forget you.

IP block

No, this is not a new about nexon has blocked my ip, this is only a new to tell you that I have discovered an attack to the webpage and the ips that made the attack are now blocked, the IPs are these:

95.211.132.78
95.211.132.70
95.211.132.75
95.211.132.79

Since now all the IPs that try to attack the page or the server will be blocked, I’m also doing a deep scan in the logs to detect more attacks.

Big update

Today I have been released a new version of the page, it’s still limited and no new functionalities has been added yet, during the next days you will see more updates and functionalities. The new things are:

• New bot, faster and more accurate, it can detect errors and solve them.
• New header thanks to Rudchenko

The next days you will see:

• 2 new rankings (maybe more)
• Europe rankings
• API to web apps

Remember this is a limited and beta version to test how is working the new system now, if you detect a bug use contact form and I will try to resolve it.

And again, help all of us with this page, you only need a webserver to do this bigger.
